Hi! You have invested a lot of money into your new Ace Amusements multicade game machine. And, probably a lot of your time as well, into its customization and personalization.
Now, the time arrives for your new machine to be shipped to you.
To help you decide who to trust with the safe handling and delivery of your precious cargo, here is some information to help with your decision.
White Glove Inside Delivery vs Freight Carrier Curbside Delivery
White Glove:
Without question, the safest handling will be provided by a White Glove service provider. The White Glove service provider is typically a national moving company, who blanket wraps your machine, transports it in a cushioned moving van, and handles your machine like a fine piece of furniture.
Serious arcade game collectors we know only use the White Glove service. And, many of our customers have also chosen the White Glove service. All without any handling mishap.
Freight:
On the other hand, you can choose the less expensive freight carrier service. But, there are perils associated with freight handling. A careless forklift driver, a loose load during a rough transit, or miss-handling at the busy freight terminal can all result in dings, bangs, and scratches to your machine.
Probably 5%, or more, of all freight shipments suffer some level of such minor mishap. Perhaps 1%, or more, suffer a major mishap requiring the machine to be returned to us for repair.
The smaller cocktail machines often escape damage. While the larger upright machines are most often the ones that get hit.
We pack machines very carefully for freight shipment, but freight handling accidents do happen.

Finally, if you are not familiar with moving, carrying, or lifting heavy equipment, hire the pros to do it for you. Better to be safe than sorry.
Bottom line:
White Glove is gentler on your machine and on your back.
Characteristics of White Glove Inside Delivery:
1) Machine is carried into your home and set in the room you specify, at ground floor or one flight of stairs above or below.
2) White Glove is more expensive than the cost of freight shipping. Basically, White Glove is the cost of transit to you, plus the cost of inside delivery. As an example, if freight shipment is around $400, White Glove might range $800 to $1200, depending on your location and if stairs or not.
3) You contract directly with the White Glove service provider. We provide you with all the information needed (see below) for a White Glove quote.
4) Machine is not palleted, as with a freight shipment. Instead, it is safety wrapped by us, and blanket wrapped by the White Glove service provider.
Characteristics of Freight Carrier Curbside Delivery:
1) Machine is safety wrapped and palleted for shipment by us. Palleted machine is set off at your sidewalk or driveway. You are responsible to move the machine to and inside your home, the driver will not help you.
2) Freight is less expensive than the cost of White Glove service.
3) We contract directly with the freight carrier.
4) If your machine is minor damaged in transit, we send you a repair kit. If badly damaged, you reject the shipment and it is returned to us for repair.
5) If ordered, some freight carriers can provide "inside" delivery. "Inside" means out-of-the-weather, such as in your garage, or in a sheltered space where ever the pallet dolly can easily access. Freight "inside" is not to be confused with White Glove service delivery.
It would serve your interests to weigh each option - White Glove or freight - before deciding the method of delivery for your new machine.
