Hi Steve. I wanted to let you know I was finally able to get a friend to help me move my ultra cocktail table into my mancave and unpack it and turn it on for the first time this morning. The cabinet and workmanship is great, thank you! - Thanks, much.

A. The machine provides three styles of game image display orientation:
1) Vertical image games (e.g. Frogger) are displayed vertically. Game play alternates end-to-end (screen flips) between players competing for high score on the end control panels (just like the classic cocktail machines).
2) Horizontal image games (e.g. Street Fighter) are displayed horizontally. Game play can be simultaneous between players as they compete against each other side-by-side on the side mounted control panel (played just like the original upright game machine).
3) Vertical image trackball games (e.g. Centipede) and horizontal image trackball games (e.g. Missile Command) are displayed horizontally. This orientation allows for game play using the trackball mounted on the side mounted control panel.
Note that the vertical image games (e.g. Centipede) are sized proportionally to appear correct on the horizontally mounted monitor (they are not stretched to be wider than normal).
Also, the three above image orientations are automatic - you do not have to physically change the orientation of the monitor or make any other adjustment.

B. Ultra 2500 Cocktail Table Multicade Operation Guide:
1) Power on the machine by plugging the power cord into a standard 120 VAC wall outlet. Or, into a power strip having an on-off switch.
2) Allow the machine to boot-up, requires about 1 to 2 minutes.
3) When boot-up complete, the games menu screen will appear in the horizontal orientation.
4) Menu screen will display the Horizontal category (2714 titles) of horizontal image and trackball games.
5) Press the player-1 "A" button (the fire button closest to the player-1 joystick) on the side mounted control panel to change to the Laser Disc games category (16 titles). Instructions for playing Laser Disc games are found below in Section H, part 11.
6) Press the player-1 "A" button again to change to the Cocktails category (360 titles) of vertical image games. The majority of these games flip end-to-end for alternating play between two players.
A few games were not originally released for cocktail play and do not flip. For these few games, alternating play between two players is conducted at the player-one controls (left end of machine).
7) Press the player-1 "A" button to change back to the horizontal image category of games.
8) The first menu listing is the hard drive shut down. Be sure to use this menu item to shut down the hard drive before powering off the machine.
Doing so will protect the hard drive and extend its life.
9) The second menu listing is the MP3 Jukebox. Included with your machine is a USB port for installing your music or music that you can obtain from us.
If you need help setting up your jukebox, just give us a call.
10) To scroll the game titles, use the player-1 joystick - scroll up-down by title, or left-right by page.
11) To select a game title for play, stop scrolling when the game title is highlighted.
12) Once the title is highlighted, press the player-1 start button (the left-most of the two white auxiliary buttons) to select the title for play.
13) If an error or warning screen appears, simply move the joystick left then right to proceed with game selection.
14) When the game's attract screen appears, you are ready to add game credits to enable game play.
15) Press the green auxiliary button to add as many game credits as wanted.
16) Press the player-one start (left white button) for one player or the player-two start (right white button) for two players.
17) To exit a game and return to the menu page, press and hold the player-one start button (left white button) for three seconds.
18) The menu page will display on the horizontal orientation monitor screen.
19) When finished playing the machine - exit game to menu page, scroll to top of menu and select "hard drive shut down," press the player-one start button (left white button), wait 10 seconds, then power off the machine.
It is important to properly shut down the hard drive by following the above steps before powering off the machine.
Lastly, an abbreviated machine operation guide appears towards the bottom of the machine's menu screen.
C. Game Controllers:
1) At the two end panels (left to right) - 8-way thumb button joystick, 4-way joystick, 3 control buttons, and spinner.
The 8-way thumb button joystick and spinner are necessary for play of such games as Tron.
The spinner is used for such games as Tempest, and for driving games.
2) At the side mounted control panel (left to right) - 8-way competition joystick with six control buttons for player one, trackball, and 8-way competition joystick with six buttons for player two.
The trackball is used for such games as Centipede, Missile Command, and Golden Tee Golf.
You can see all of these controllers in the above machine photo.
D. Other Controls:
1) Located just inside the front vault door - the powered stereo sound volume control pod with volume and bass dial controls, and headphones jack.
2) Located just inside the front vault door - the USB port for the MP3 jukebox music memory stick.
3) Located inside the front vault door on the floor of the cabinet - the surge protector with a machine power on/off switch. See Section E next below.
E. Powering Off Machine:
1) When machine is not in use, it should be powered off. This will extend the life of electronics and protect against other hazards, such as lightening strike.
2) When powering off machine, first shut down the hard drive as explained above in Section B-7. Then, wait 10 seconds after hard drive shut down before powering off the machine.
3) Power-off can be achieved by unplugging the power cord from the AC wall outlet, or by switching power off at the surge protector located inside the machine (accessed through the front vault door), or by use of an external power strip with on/off switch.
F. Optional Adjustments:
1) As an option, the machine can come with a dark gray glare protector acrylic screen resting atop the LCD monitor. Depending on the background lighting surrounding the machine, you may or may not need the glare protector.
The glare protector acts in the same method as did the dark gray acrylic screen installed by Midway in all of their machines, e.g. Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, etc.
In most installations where little background light is present, the glare protector should not be needed. But, if you wish to install a glare protector, call us and we will explain the simple process.
G. Routine Maintenance:
1) If a push button become sluggish, it may have collected some dirt. Try a squirt of Windex at the top of the button between the button barrel and housing.
2) If a joystick becomes sluggish, it may need a lube job. Try a squirt of WD40 aimed at the area where the shaft and bearing housing meet. You can access this point by lifting the black plastic washer.
3) If the cabinet paint gets scratched, call us and we can provide a scratch repair kit together with the matching paint.

- Missile Command
3) Here is a really nice bonus - the trackball doubles as the crosshairs aiming device for shooting games. There are about 25 shooters in the 2500-in-1 that work great using the trackball for aiming.
Here are a few of the shooters (Horizontal display) -
- Cheyenne
- Mechanized Attack
- Steel Gunner
- Turkey Shoot
- Vs. Duck Hunt
4) If you are a true retrogamer, you must have a spinner. There is no better way to play one of Atari's coolest classics ever - Tempest.
Here are a few of the spinner games (Vertical display) -
- 720 Degrees
- Arkanoid
- Discs of Tron
- Tempest
- Tron
5) Here is a really nice bonus - the spinner doubles as a small steering wheel. Meaning that with a spinner, you can play such classic driving games as (Vertical display) -
- Spy Hunter
- Pole Position
- A.P.B.
- Turbo
- Road Blasters
6) And, there is more. The spinner acts as a rotary joystick. Meaning that you can play such great rotary joystick classics as (Vertical display) -
- Ikari Warriors
- Heavy Barrel
But, to play the rotary joystick games, you would also need an 8-way flight stick with two buttons. However, due to space limitations, the provided 8-way one button top joystick allows suitable game play.
7) The 2500-in-1 offers many of the Golden Era Vertical arcade classics.
If you like the classics, then you have good reason to really like the 2500-in-1. Because, there are many of the Vertical classics included in the 2500-in-1, with only a few exceptions.
Here are a few of the Golden Era vertical arcade classic greats (Vertical display) -
- Donkey Kong, there are 8 versions
- Frogger, there are 2 versions
- Space Invaders, there are 6 versions
8) The 2500-in-1 offers some of the rarest Golden Era classics.
Some of the rarest and most coveted arcade classics can be found in the 2500-in-1. These low production games have achieved cult-following status.
Here are a few that I have spotted (Vertical and Horizontal display) -
- Quantum, by Atari, 1982
- Major Havoc, by Atari, 1983
- Sinistar, by Williams, 1982

11) The 2500-in-1 offers 16 classic LaserDisc games.
LaserDisc games have become one of the most collectible group of all the classic Golden Era arcade video games. And consequently, they have become some of the hardest to find, and the most expensive to own, of classic games.
Until now, the chances were good that you had never played a classic LaserDisc game. And even if you once had, you likely would never again have the chance to play one.
Here are all 16 of the 2500-in-1 classic LaserDisc games (Horizontal display) -
- Dragon's Lair
- Dragon's Lair 2 - Time Warp
- Space Ace
- Astron Belt
- Badlands
- Bega's Battle
- Cliff Hanger
- Cobra Command
- Esh's Aurunmilla
- Galaxy Ranger
- Super Don Quix-ote
- Us Vs. Them
- GP World
- Interstellar
- M. A. C. H. 3
- Road Blaster
12) The 2500-in-1 offers 7 of the Atari color vector classics.
The term 'color vector' refers to the type of monitor used for the game. Unfortunately, the color vector was the worst monitor ever designed. The monitor is terrible about overheating. So much so, that many of these monitors would burn themselves up at the factory while being tested.
Consequently, production of these games was relatively low, and working survivors today are few. Chances, then, are good that you have never had the chance to play one of the vector color classics.
But, with the 2500-in-1, now is your chance. And, you should sieze the opportunity. Because, in my opinion, the color vector classics are some of the most exciting, greatest looking games ever created. Especially my two favorites, Star Wars and Tempest.
Here are the 7 color vector Atari classics (Vertical display) -
- Star Wars, 1983
- Tempest, 1980
- Quantum, 1982
- Major Havoc, 1983
- Space Duel, 1982
- Gravitar, 1982
- Black Widow, 1982
13) The 2500-in-1 offers the Golden Era black and white classics.
No classic arcade video game lineup would be complete without the black and whites - the ones that helped get it all started.
Here are a few of the classic firsts (Horizontal and Vertical display) -
- Asteroids, Atari 1979
- Asteroids Deluxe, Atari 1980
- Space Invaders, Midway 1978 (there are 6 versions offered)
14) Here are a few of the more than 50 3-player and 4-player games. Up to two players can play these games (Horizontal display) -
- NBA Jam Tournament Edition (4-p)
- Captain America (4-p)
- Battletoads (3-p)
- The Simpsons (4-p)
- Gauntlet (4-p)
- Rampart (3-p)
- Rampage (3-p)
15) Play the 2500-in-1 just as if it were a real pinball with all of the fast action, sounds, and excitement of a real pinball machine using side mounted pinball flipper buttons (just like a real pinball machine).
There are two pinball games in the 2500-in-1 (Vertical display) -
- Pinball Action
- Super Pinball Action
16) The 2500-in-1 features MP3 Jukebox (Horizontal display).
MP3 Jukebox is included as an operational program. Meaning that the machine, with its powered stereo sound system, can play all of your favorite tunes collection.
