Hi! In case you were wondering, T-molding is the plastic material used to finish the exposed edges of an arcade video game's cabinet.
T-molding comes in a variety of colors, textures, styles, and widths.
Over the years, certain types of T-molding have come to be associated with particular game cabinets.
For example, yellow T-molding almost always denotes a Pac-Man cabinet. While, flat white T-molding is the hallmark of the Nintendo cabinet (shown in the photo).
When finishing a custom multicade cabinet, I offer you a choice of T-molding color and texture. Between the T-molding color, the cabinet paint color, and the control panel overlay color, you can design a game cabinet to satisfy any taste or compliment the decor of any room or setting.
Check out the game machine photos at this page to see how the T-molding color can accent and define the look of the cabinet -
Presently, and shown below, I stock a large selection of T-molding colors and styles; including many specialty types, such as Galaxian's bright green.
All are 3/4" wide, except for Nintendo flat white, which is 5/8" wide.
We also stock several colors of 1" T-molding used for cocktail table tops and pedestal base -
- black,
- white,
- yellow, and
- red.
So, if you have a special T-molding request for your multicade, send me an email: [email protected]
Following are color-accurate photos of the several most popular T-molding types that I keep in stock:
1. Smooth red (very popular, looks great with a black cabinet).
4. Midway textured black (such as for Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, etc., a very durable and popular style).
5. Smooth chrome (for a really rich look).
6. Nintendo flat white (such as Donkey Kong, etc., 5/8" wide).
7. Smooth bright green (original Galaxian).
12. Smooth pink to match Ms. Pac-Man graphics.
