Hi! Following are all the details about, and the game list for, the Babystar 465-in-1 vertical multicade system.
For comparison, the games which are also in the iCade 60-in-1 are highlighted in red. There are 45 of the 60 included in the 465-in-1.
There are at least another 26 games, which I recognize as having been very popular USA releases. Most notably, are the games Gorf. Gaplus, and Galaga '88. The 26 games have been green highlighted.
The term 'vertical classic' refers to the orientation of the monitor. Almost all of the early classics, for example, Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, were vertical games. While, a horizontal game would be one like Street Fighter.
The 465-in-1 platform and operation is similar to the Games Family xxxx-in-1 platform. Click the link to learn more about the system.
The price for a generic 25" monitor custom 465-in-1 is $1,295, with 2 joysticks and 3 buttons each, and without a trackball. The trackball is optional and may not be required as there are only 4 trackball games - Centipede, Millipede, Arkanoid, and Super Breakout, they are indicated with an * in the game list below.
A 19" vertical monitor cabinet will work fine for this system, it is $1,095, without trackball. But, due to limited control panel space, will only feature one set of player controls. Trackball is optional.
Your 465-in-1 can be a video pinball machine -
One of the 60-in-1 games is Pinball Action. This is a screen photo of the game's video pinball playfield. All of the fast action, sounds, and excitement of a real pinball machine are found in this game.
But, there is one thing missing - there are no pinball flipper buttons. The game is designed to use the joystick's left and right motion to actuate the left or right pinball flipper.
So, to add the feel of playing a real pinball machine, we can add flipper buttons to each side of the multicade cabinet. Then, the pinball experience will be complete.
The game can then be played just like a real pinball machine with real side-mounted flipper buttons (one is shown in this photo). You can then lean on the machine, just like a real pinball.
And, you can capture and hold the pinball with the flipper, just like a real pinball. The only thing you cannot do is shake the machine to try to save a ball from draining.
You can add the side-mounted pinball flipper buttons for only $65.
Use an original dedicated cabinet for your 465-in-1 -
Another really unique option would be to upgrade an original dedicated classic cabinet into a 465-in-1, it is $1,295, without trackball. Trackball is optional.
A perfect example would be to upgrade an original Gorf into a 465-in-1.
Then, you could play Gorf in a Gorf cabinet, plus hundreds more games all in the one cabinet.
Coming soon are the operating manual and navigation instructions.
